My name is Tiffany. I am a certified yoga instructor. I have been practicing yoga for over 15 years and have been teaching in the Bridgenorth and Peterborough area for over 10 years.
I discovered yoga in my early twenties and have been practicing it ever since. It has been a life-changing journey. I found yoga during a difficult time in my life. I was searching for a way to deal with health issues that had been causing me a great deal of pain and stress. After trying many different things and having little relief, I went to my first yoga class. Despite the first few classes being very challenging for me, I knew I had found a way to reconnect with my body and take charge of my own health. I am so glad I stuck with it because through yoga I realized that if I let go of expectation and the need to be perfect and in control, my body would respond in a positive way. I discovered through learning to breathe effectively and by quieting down my busy mind that my body would tell me exactly what changes I needed to make to be healthier and happier in my life. When times are difficult, if I go to my yoga mat and do a few yoga poses, it doesn’t take long before the problem seems less overwhelming and I gain a new perspective. I always leave my mat feeling stronger and more at peace.
Yoga has been such an incredible gift in my life and I am thankful I get to share what means so much to me with others. My intention is to create an environment where we can practice yoga in a non-judgmental, empowering and safe way. It’s extremely important to me that each person who comes to class feels welcome and comfortable. I am always willing and happy to spend time with individuals before and after class to answer any questions and to go over yoga poses in more depth. I believe yoga is for everybody. It’s not just for the people who are already strong and flexible, it is also for the people who are not bendy, strong or coordinated. All a person needs to do is show up on the yoga mat with an open heart and a patient mind and let yoga do the rest.
